Mini Cooper Oil Change
How often should I change my oil?
Where can I get my oil changed?
Many of us were taught to change our oil every three months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first. But, as cars became more sophisticated the distance you could go between oil changes increased. Now some manufactures are suggesting you can go as far as 15,000 miles or more between oil changes.
We disagree with those manufactures. Your manufacture's ultimate goal is to put you into a new car every five years. Our goal is to see your car last a lifetime.
Frequent oil changes and regular scheduled maintenance are the key to maintaining your car's health and longevity. Frequent oil changes are one of the best ways to prevent excessive wear on your engines internal parts.
You can see evidence of this quite easily when you look at your oil between oil changes. Dirty oil is black from particles of dirt and other impurities suspended in the oil. And after your oil change the oil is clear and pure. These micro impurities cause wear on the complex inner parts of your engine.
Oil changes are one of the most efficient, low-cost maintenance efforts you can make to preserve the longevity of your vehicle. Keeping up regular maintenance is good for your car or SUV and can prevent a lot of costly repairs down the road.
With frequent oil changes and regular maintenance your car can easily last through 300,000 to 400,000 miles.
For the best results and the longest life out of your car's engine, we recommend:
- Standard oils every 5,000 miles
- High-grade synthetic oils every 10,000 miles.
